An appeal to from the NY Supreme Court article 78 decsion will be like $7,500 - $12,000. I'm trying to decide if I should keep fighting this. I'm frustrated because my would be coworkers with carry permits are making $100,000+ with excellent benefits (lots of overtime) and I should have started the job working with them well over a year ago.
The judge accepted my explanation on appeal and awarded my permit. You've already gone through the appeals process, with a lawyer, and lost. IMO, unless you have a new lawyer that the judge owes a favor to, any more money you spend on this is just going down the drain.

I used Amy. The appeal took 5 months. 15 months total from application to permit approval. Don’t mean to bother you, mate from the same state. If I may, how much did you spend on the appeal?

I am trying to find out how long does it take to get an answer from 1 police plaza after filing an appeal for a resident pistol permit denial.
When I sent in the request for an appeal, I was given a time to see the judge, in the courtroom, after the normal court calendar. There was one other guy there who appeared to also be appealing a permit denial (it was hard to hear, I'm not sure). I spoke with the judge and explained the application discrepancy.
Not in agreement as this is something all overlooked in the fight to appeal the UNSAFE in two federal courts.. The 7 fight and winning to 10 includes all instances and cases on all "feeding devices", you should also believe the same. Magazines was just the example used in arguments. So we forget the stupid shotgun clause?
You will not get a pistol permit in NYS or any other state if addicted or using weed or any other drugs. There was just a lawsuit that said it’s unconstitutional but it will take a long time to get finalized in the courts. Normally you have a certain amount of time to appeal a denial before it is finalized. Normally it’s 30 days. Good luck.
Once your appeal is completed, THEN they say you can file for your UPIN. Can I apply for the VAF the same time I am appealing a NICS deny? You must first appeal your NICS denial decision. After the successful completion of your appeal, you will then be notified if you are a good candidate for the VAF.
Wouldn't an appeal be after a judges decision. Yes - but this pre-decision statement thing is highly unusual and the 30-day deadline is the same as an appeal - so I share Salt's concern that you are actually in the midst of an appeal process, despite the words of the licensing officer.
Even with legal representation his chances of getting it back are practically null. If he were to challenge the licensing officer's action of revocation--he would lose any appeal in state supreme court. BTW, Steve; in New York State it's not about gun rights to own but a privilege that can be taken away at any time and for any reason.
When you appeal under Art.78 to the courts you will loose. When you appeal that decision to the 1st Dept. Appellate Division, you will loose. The NY Court of Appeal will not accept your appeal. But you still need a lawyer to go through these steps so you can later sue under the Civil Rights Act in Federal Court.
property 's arguments are getx, setx, delx and a doc string. In the code below property is used as a decorator. The object of it is the x function, but in the code above there is no place for an object function in the arguments.
A property should always encapsulate one or more fields, and should never do any heavy lifting or validation. If you need a property such a UserName or Password to have validation, change their type from strings to Value Objects. There is an unspoken contract between a class-creator and the consumer.
