The M1974 bayonets are hard to come by and nearly identical to the Russians except for the arsenal marking, which is an arrow in a triangle, just like the Russian, but the arrow has a subtle difference. The Romanian arrow points and fletching are outlined, like a line drawing. The Russian Izhevsk arrow points and fletching are raised and filled in.

While Arsenal USA no longer uses the services of Gordon Technologies, both companies still continue to manufacture AK specimens. Arsenal USA has offered quite a few models since the SSR-99/K-101 project, all of which are now assembled in house. Gordon Technologies continues to do work for other companies by building AK specimens under contract.
Zastava CS is better than Arsenal’s, and after seeing some of Arsenal’s business practices I personally won’t buy from them That said, the SAM7 will always be a collector, but bang for the buck right now the M70 is king, the new WASR of the market but better My 2¢ Also are you just looking at 7.62x39 guns or 5.56 AK’s as well?
Arsenal SAM5s seemed to be available as of 2-3 weeks ago from my vendor. Normally, the SAM5 would be my choice given how much I love my SAM7 but quite a few people claim they're very overgassed (videos available on youtube and some forums) which is problematic with 5.56 unlike 7.62x39. So I'm not yet comfortable with getting one. Wonder if there are some SAM5 owners on here that can confirm or ...
