Because age does effect the eyes, So all you young people or people with perfect vision with the wise cracks , "just wait" But there is a BIG difference between not seeing a letter on a chart and something coming at you in the road.

When I went to renew I saw an eye doctor first, so I could get new glasses and pass the DMV test, but the eye doctor said my eyes were easily good enough to pass without glasses, so he gave me a form to submit to DMV.
