When you visit a blog or website, you’ll often notice certain pieces of content that are more prominent than others, usually displayed in a special section near the top or in sidebars. These are known as Featured Posts.
Using featured content, you can organize your website and make it user-friendly. In the coming sections, we look at different ways to add featured posts in WordPress so you can start using them effectively.
In the admin portal, select Featured content. Here you see a list of all featured items along with their relevant metadata. If something looks suspicious, or you want to clean up the Featured section, you can delete featured items as needed.
Your featured content represents the best of your site and your business overall. It can be a blog article, visuals, or other elements that provide an overview of what you have to offer.
A featured content slider makes your site more engaging by showcasing your top content. A great strategy is to create a slider that showcases your most popular posts or important content, making it easy for visitors to discover your best articles and pages right away.

How to get the most out of using the featured content component
This is commonly referred to as “Featured Posts” or “Featured Content.” If you are using WordPress, displaying these featured posts can be achieved in various ways, one of which is using a plugin like Jetpack.
