IRA Green Insignia maufacturing goes back to 1943. As far as I know they used the hallmark 3G in the 1950's and later used G23 in the 1960's and later. During the Vietnam era G23 would be correct. They did make sterling badges up until the mid 1960's when they switched to 1/20th Silver Filled. Current badges have no silver content.

The Vanguard hallmark on the air crew wing is 1950s as you have the code 1V on each side of the V. The captain bars look like they have the code V21 on each side of the V so this would date it from the 1960s on.

Well I wonder if this is the last hallmark ever used on military insignia by Hilborn Hamburger - a simple three digit number 362 - It is a USMC "approval number" granted to the specific maker to manufacture and sell the emblem (uniform articles as well).
