An Act to provide for the establishment of Botswana Energy Regulatory Authority, its mandate, the regulation of the energy sector, and for matters incidental thereto.
"Authority" means the Botswana Energy Regulatory Authority established under the Botswana Energy Regulatory Authority Act (Act No. 13 of 2016); "bulk supply" means the wholesale supply of electricity to any one or more customers or consumers in or outside Botswana as provided in terms of a supply licence;
any generation, supply, transmission or distribution of electrical energy provided by any plant, apparatus or works operated by a department of the Government; or
(6) A licensee shall commence to supply energy within the period specified in his licence, which period shall give due regard to the time required for the design and construction of the required works and the demand by the public for a supply of energy in the area in question.
