Ozzy Osbourne ... John Michael " Ozzy " Osbourne (3 December 1948 – 22 July 2025) was an English singer, songwriter, and media personality. Dubbed the " Prince of Darkness ", [2][3] he is widely credited as a pioneer of heavy metal music. He co-founded the band Black Sabbath in 1968, and rose to prominence in the 1970s as their lead vocalist.

Ozzy Osbourne was a British musician who gained a loyal following as the vocalist for the 1970s heavy metal group Black Sabbath before embarking on a successful solo career in the 1980s. In between making music he appeared with his family in the popular reality TV program The Osbournes on MTV (2002–05).
