Cannot Send Message: MMS Messaging needs to be enabled to send this message So I had an IPhone 11 for multiple years and then last year it stopped working with group messaging or sending gifs/pictures/video messages unless they were through iMessage.

First, let’s go to Settings > Messages and make sure MMS Messaging is turned ON. Also, ensure that Cellular Data is enabled, as MMS Messaging requires it and won’t work over Wi-Fi alone.

The switch is “MMS Messaging” in Settings/Messages. If there is no switch your account is not enabled with your carrier. You can still send picture messages to other iPhone users with iMessage.
