An early catalyst was the launch of Make: magazine in 2005 by Dale Dougherty. Our publication became a cornerstone of the movement, providing a platform for DIY enthusiasts to share projects, ideas, and techniques. Dougherty also organized the first maker event, Maker Faire in 2006, an event that showcased the creativity of makers and brought the community together on a global scale.

Some parents host camps for their families and friends. Lastly, some Makers choose to participate on their own, finding community through our online groups. What is a Maker Camp Site? A Maker Camp Site is a maker, educator, parent, or another adult member of the maker community that agrees to host Maker Camp activities for children.
Anyone may offer a vetted club/class through Duluth MakerSpace. Teachers get 50% revenue after materials cost. Contact Classes@DuluthMakerSpace.com for more information.
