Only if all updates fail do we need to repair Windows Update. Literally had to deal with this yesterday with my m5 Macbook Pro. I spent 30 mins doing everything recommended online. Hard Reset, SMC and multiple hard Shutdowns. Fortunately i have a type C hub from work with ethernet. Had to connect and boom it was activated immediately.
