I really like the sound of it, as well as the weight (I just turned 68). My question has to do with a possible speaker upgrade.
Got my hands on an BOSS Katana 100watt amp with 12" speaker. Seeing if I can milk any good steel guitar tones out of it. Maybe it can be an alternative light weight giging amp. We'll see. Here are several sound samples for the amp. I get better bass response by putting the amp on the floor and cocked back a bit vs. in a chair.
The Tanuki Katana was ordered from Jared at Omnivore a long time ago, and has been handled a lot over its lifespan. It has never been used for any form of cutting, other than perhaps paper, and other than some storage scratches on the handles, mild scratches on the blade surface, and rubbing on the cerakote, it is in new condition.
