Linx Software Updates Are Causing Bugs For Major Corporate Users

I had same issue that you had (Labview 2016, MakerHub LINX 2.0.0.35, Arduino ADK) and your solution solved this issue. I had an other configuration (Labview 2016, MakerHub LINX 2.0.0.35Linx, Arduino UNO) where the original LINX software worked well.

No, don't install that! If you have the Community Edition you do not need to install Linx separately. Doing so will just mess up your Linx installation that is already included in LabVIEW Community Edition. Since you tried to install it already, there is a very good change that you actually damaged your proper Linx installation with that.

Choke, When you first startup LabVIEW , go to Linx under Tools Options Tab, configure your Ardiuno Target via the configuration wizard, did you attempt this step? Your configuration to the Ardiuno Mega the wizard will ensure proper communications via serial. I assume you used the sample VI for the Linx Toolkit or did you use VISA instead?

The Digilent Linx version 3.x.x is NOT compatible with LabVIEW 2020. And it is not needed when you install the Community Edition as that installer comes with the NI Linx Toolkit version 1.0.0 already in it.

Sam and supposedly others were continuing on Linx while at Digilent but somewhere around 2016 this pretty much stopped until it was revived for inclusion into the LabVIEW Community Edition in 2019. At least since that time it was fully open source on github but most likely it was before, I just didn't happen to hear about it.

The LINX version 3.0.1.192 was released in 2016 to go with the then newly released LabVIEW Home Bundle, which was based on LabVIEW 2014 SP1. The references in your image to a release 3.0.0.186 is pretty odd.

LabVIEW Basics #2 - Servo Control with an Arduino using LINX How to manually control a micro servo and adjust its pulse width.

Being totally new to LabView and the Arduno Uno, so far, after uploading the LINX firmware to the Uno, I've been able to successfully combine the LINX example code for Digital Read, Digital Write and Analog Read into the following BD: While not a major feat, it runs without errors - at about 50hz...

This VI was created using Labview 2015, and has some specific Vision resources for the 2015 version on one of its SubVI's, including IMAQdx.

Isn't LINX up to version 3 or something like that? #2 If this is LabVIEW Community Edition, why are you trying to install it at all? (It's included.) Bill (Mid-Level minion.) My support system ensures that I don't look totally incompetent. Proud to say that I've progressed beyond knowing just enough to be dangerous.

Linx only supports the "/dev/spidev0.1" device as SPI device 0. (naming schemes are usually arbitrary and seldom logical 😁) The Linx library insists on doing some custom handshaking of its own, possibly a reminder of early Raspi driver implementations, or maybe simply a misunderstanding how SPI works on the Raspi in comparison to an Arduino.

Hi everyone I'm trying to interface my Arduino UNO with LabVIEW 2013. I downloaded the Arduino interface for labview, I uploaded the LINX_Arduino_Base_Firmware.ino, I opened an example (RGB led), I selected the correct Arduino COM port, but LabVIEW seems not recognise the Arduino board. The explan...

Hi, Has anybody tried to make Linx work with older versions of LabVIEW? I tried with an evaluation version of LV 2015 and saved a VI for LV 2009. But it does not open in LV 2009. Many sub VIs are not compatible. Any suggestions???

I'm using a Nema 23 bipolar 4-wire stepper motor, StepperOnline DM542T driver, and an arduino uno R3 in a testing setup. I've downloaded LINX to communicate with arduino, but the programming logic is getting a bit lost on me. It seems that it should be communicating, and I believe it is since the RX...
