OLAPLEX Damaged my hair My hair was destroyed by OLAPLEX and now I want to share my story in order to save other people from experiencing the same. Let me preface this by explaining that my hair prior to using the @Olaplex system was long, thick and healthy. I have natural blonde, straight hair that has not been highlighted in a year.
I tried Olaplex 3, 4, and 5 back when my hair was highlighted. I didn't see a benefit, but that might have been because my hair was not particularly damaged. I probably buy Kerastase more than any other brand. I like that they have many product lines to choose from so that you can tailor the regimen for your hair needs as they change.
olaplex doesn't contain protein no you dont want to mix the two. olaplex wouldn't be able to penetrate properly. always follow olaplex with a good conditioner, but if you do use cocanut oil, make sure you clairify before using olaplex.

I used olaplex 0,3,4,8 and had and still have burning sensation on my scalp. Did it a week ago. Washed with regular normal shampoo and conditioner still burning.
