Talk about memories….I remember when there was a shopping center at SW.44 & S. Western. There were several stores there, including a Rudy’s Bestyet grocery store. Around the corner from the shopping center, across from fire station 19, there was a Godfather’s Pizza place.

Tyler State Park features a cool, 64-acre spring-fed lake, 13 miles of hiking and biking trails, 100-foot-tall trees, and historic structures. Play at the lake, wet a hook, wander through the woods, or relax with your binoculars.
The Visitor Center is located in the Plaza Tower in the heart of Downtown Tyler. The space includes an information center, retail shop featuring branded Tyler items and Made-in-Tyler products, podcast studio, and artwork from local artists. Street parking is available; metered parking is free on the weekend and after 5pm on weekdays. The Visitor Center is open Monday-Friday, 10am-5pm.
