TED is sometimes referred to by other names, such as Graves' ophthalmopathy, Graves' orbitopathy, thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy, and/or thyroid orbitopathy.

The most common presenting signs are orbital and periorbital edema, eyelid retraction, eyelid lag in downgaze, restrictive strabismus, compressive optic neuropathy, and exposure keratopathy.
TED, conversely, typically affects downward and nasal gaze. Inflammatory orbitopathy, such as granulomatosis with polyangitis (GPA, formerly known as Wegener's granulomatosis) – GPA typically presents with a mix of upper airway, lower airway, and renal pathologies. Patients may have conjunctivitis, episcleritis, scleritis, and/or uveitis.
A legacy contact is someone you choose to look after your main profile if it's memorialized after you've passed away. If you add a legacy contact, that person will be able to make decisions about your main profile once it is memorialized.
If no legacy contact is added, a court administering the estate of the deceased issues an order directing us to appoint a custodian of a deceased user's social media accounts or to add an individual as the legacy contact for a deceased user's Facebook account.
